Nikayla affectionately known as Coach Kay was a radiant and inspiring young woman whose passion, ambition, and love for others left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. With a vibrant spirit and an entrepreneurial mindset well beyond her years, Nikayla had a deep desire to create positive change in the world—especially through uplifting and empowering young people.

Tragically, Nikayla’s life was cut short on October 13, 2023, due to complications from a pulmonary embolism. In the wake of this unimaginable loss, her family and loved ones established The Nikayla Gyles Foundation to honor her memory and continue the impactful work she envisioned.

​Nikayla’s light continues to shine through every young dreamer the foundation reaches. Her legacy lives on—not only in memory but in action—as we strive to build a future filled with purpose, opportunity, and hope, just as she imagined.
